Award winning DJ, Sleeper, has reinvented La La Land, cre- ating an artistic mix lm tribute to one of the best lms of the 21st century.
A mix lm is equal parts lm, DJ performance and mixtape, the new medium blurs the lines be- tween established forms into a new, uni ed experience.
Songs from La La Land are melted in with with classic vocals, ranging from Alicia Keys, Beach Boys, Boyz II Men, Lana Del Rey, Nina Simone, Empire of The Sun, and so much more. Over 20 artists are blended into the La La Land soundtrack.

A video experience is combined with the music, including old movies from lms that La La Land pays homage to: Broadway Melody of 1940, Shall We Dance, Sweet Charity, Singin’ In The Rain and West Side Story.
About the mix lm, Sleeper says, “I wanted to create an audio and visual experience that allows you to enjoy the lm in a fresh way. It’s a DJ turntable tribute to La La Land.

In 2009, Sleeper became the first DJ to draw over 1,000,000 YouTube views to a video of his crowd-pleasing DJ style, mixing 18 songs in 10 minutes. In 2011, a er appearing on MTV, ESPN and URB, Sleeper was asked to represent the art of DJing at the prestigious TED conference. At TED, Sleeper presented the still nascent technology of video DJing. This La La Land Mix lm revisits Sleeper’s unique style of genre-bending, old-school turntablism and cutting-edge technology.
